the blending is nice, but the font edges look too sharp/crisp for text that looks worn. It's weird that it would be fades but the edges would still be sharp.
And I don't think those dabs on the "o" "r" and "e" on the last image are working either. Maybe it's just their color, but I think they're too soft or something. They've got potential, but I think they need a bit more work.
Should have put this in scraps.
It's fine where it is, now you know what to look out for next time, or when you have more time.
You did use photoshop for this right?
